National Film Award winning actress Bidya Sinha Mim, who is now seen more on the big screen than small screen, is being honoured for International Women's Day.
To mark the day, Universal Medical College Hospital, located in Mohakhali, organised a daylong unique concert titled ‘Concert for Women’ on Sunday at Raowa Convention Center Hall in the capital.
Bidya Sinha Mim was honored for her outstanding contribution in outstanding contributions in the fields of acting and culture.
By the initiative of Universal Medical College Hospital Managing Director Ashish Kumar Chakraborty, the concert was presided by its chairman Preety Chakraborty.
On receiving the award, Mim said, “I am feeling so much delighted as I know that I have really done something for the film industry by receiving this honour and I am grateful to Universal Medical College Hospital family for giving me this prestigious award on the eve of International Women’s Day.”
“This award will inspire me to move forward in the future. My parents are very happy on hearing the news. I am grateful to all associated with this award,” she added.
