Milestone College recently hosted its annual sports competition and prize distribution ceremony with vibrant participation from all class nine girls. The event was held on 21 November 2024 at the college's permanent campus in Diabari, Uttara.
The sports competition featured a variety of events, including high jump, long jump, rope skipping, cycling, handball, and running. Both individual and team competitions added excitement and showcased the students’ athletic skills.
Principal of Milestone College, Mohammad Ziaul Alam, attended the event as the chief guest. Vice Principal Professor Zahirul Haque, Mizanur Rahman Khan, Iftekhar Hossain, Academic Director Ziaun Nahar, and members of the Physical Education Department, including Lecturer Shipra Biswas, were also present.
During the prize distribution ceremony, Principal Ziaul Alam expressed his appreciation for the participants and winners. He emphasized the significance of sports in a student's physical and mental development. “Along with regular lessons, the importance of sports in educational institutions is immense. Today’s participation by the girls marks a progressive step for our institution,” he stated.
The principal extended his gratitude to all class nine girls who actively participated and congratulated the winners for their accomplishments.
The event successfully combined learning with fun and reinforced the college’s commitment to holistic education.
