Mild heat wave to continue

According to the Meteorological Office, temperatures all over the county may remain consistent while night times may experience a rise.

The country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 37.4°C in Jessore and the lowest one on Monday was recorded 17.4°C at Rajarhat.

On Monday, Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD ) said that regions of Dhaka, Tangail, Faridpur, Gopalganj, Rajshahi, Pabna, Khulna, Jessore, Kushtia, Patuakhali, Sitakunda, and Rangamati are experiencing the mild heat wave.

They informed that a mild wave of heat is likely to take over different regions of the country and is predicted to continue for the upcoming days. 

Dry weather with a partly cloudy sky is likely to be experienced over the country, the BMD said in a forecast for today starting at 9am on Monday. Temperatures during the day could remain almost unchanged with chances of night temperatures slightly rising over the country.

Seasonal low lies over the South bay and trough of low lies over the West Bengal and adjoining areas are reported. The sun will set at 6:11pm today having risen at 5:59am in Dhaka.
