Superintendent of Police (SP) of Jhalokathi Fatiha Yeasmin distributed blankets among the cold stricken poor people in Jhalokathi district town on Sunday night.
The SP along with some other officials walked through the roads and footpaths to warm the shivering destitute.
She put blankets on many cold stricken poor people on road, footpath and bus stand. Fatiha Yeasmin distributed distributed blankets at the different places in the town.
The cold stricken poor people of the road expressed their joy after receiving the blankets at midnight when they were sleeping and shivering in the severe cold.
Additional Police Super Md Habibullah, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jhalokathi Sadar Police Station Md Khalilur Rahman, and OC (investigation) Abu Taher were present at the time, among others.
