Metrorail now a dream come true

Consistent progress needed to finish the project in time

In the last decade, our country has witnessed significant development in the transport and communications sector under this government. In that continuity, the country has now entered the electric train era as the long-awaited metro rail dream for the capital commuters is now ever so close to becoming a reality.

Recently, the maiden demo run of metro rail was conducted in the capital’s Diabari area. The dream metro rail is certainly not only a dream anymore for the people of the capital.

Government must continue to progress, step by step, 

and complete all the necessary measures so

 that smooth transition of the project completion occurs

According to a report published in this daily recently, already 64 percent of the work of MRT line-6 has been completed. Six coaches of the second set have reached the Mongla port. The third and fourth sets will arrive in Bangladesh between August and the fifth set in September.

The country is going through stern times amid the pandemic, however, still, the relevant authorities took the work of the metro rail project very seriously. Government must continue to progress, step by step, and complete all the necessary measures so that smooth transition of the project completion occurs.  

The metro rail project is going to make a revolutionary change in the communication dimension and to the whole lifestyle in Dhaka. Office going, school, college-university students, will witness a massive enhancement and comfort to their commuting. The long dreamt-of comfort and convenience of being a big-city resident will no longer be evasive to the general people of Dhaka city.
