A citizens' condolence meeting arranged in memory of valiant freedom fighter and former commander of Rajshahi district Muktijoddha Sangsad Saidur Rahman by Rajshahi city unit of Ain Sahayata Kendro (ASK) was held in front of Rajshahi Press Club on Friday evening.
Saidur Rahman was also president Rajshahi city unit of ASK.
Presided over by Salah Uddin Mintu, ASK president, the condolence meeting was attended and addressed, among others, by Rajshahi Press Club president Saidur Rahman as the chief guest, Sector Commanders' Forum’s Rajshahi city unit president Shahjahan Ali as special guest, Rajshahi Press Club general secretary Aslam-ud-Dowla, RDA Business Owners' Association general secretary Farid Madud Hasan, ASK Foundation general secretary Nure Islam Milon, ASK Foundation’s Dhaka city unit president Sabbir Rahman Sumon, ASK Rajshahi division unit vice-president Ariful Islam and freedom fighters Abdus Samad and Syed Enamul Haque.
The meeting was conducted by ASK Rajshahi unit joint secretary Asadul Haque Dukhu.
The speakers recalled the contributions of Saidur Rahman during Liberation War.
