Meeting held on prevention of stone throwing on train

A bit policing meeting has been held at the initiative of the railway police to prevent stones being thrown at the moving train.

The meeting was held at Bhatiari railway station on Tuesday afternoon under the chairmanship of Railway Police Superintendent Mohammad Hasan Chowdhury.

Superintendent of Railway Police Mohammad Hasan Chowdhury asked the people around the railway station and the railway line to stop throwing stones at the train and sought the cooperation of all present and apprised them of the evils of these activities. 

Teachers are also urged to motivate local school students about the evils of throwing stones and throwing stones is a legal offense, and local mosque Khatibs are asked to tell everyone to stop throwing stones during Friday prayers.

Besides, the Superintendent of Police sought the cooperation of local people including people's representatives to stop throwing stones at the train.  Under the Railway Act, throwing stones at a moving train is a crime and everyone is informed about the punishment for throwing stones.

Journalists, local people's representatives, RNB, railway officials / employees, teachers, imams of mosques, local dignitaries including Motayalli, members of railway police and district police were present at the time.
