Meat shops fined in Kapasia

Gazipur's  Kapasia UNO conducted a mobile court in different markets and collected fines. At that time, the owners of three shops were fined Tk 6,000 for selling meat without complying with the law. Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Executive Magistrate Mosa Ismat Ara confirmed the matter on Friday.

Sources said the raid was carried out under the leadership of Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Executive Magistrate Mosa Ismat Ara at a meat shop in the area adjacent to Amraid, Targaon, Kapasia Upazila Sadar Raw Market in Kapasia Upazila.

The executive officer and the executive magistrate said the raid was carried out at a meat shop in Kapasia on charges of selling meat in violation of the Animal Slaughter and Meat Conservation Act 2011.

Aminul and Asad were fined Tk 4,000, Kamrul of Targaon area Tk 2,000 and Kapasia Bazar Tk 1,000 for selling meat in violation of the law. The Nirbahi officer and the executive magistrate also said that raids were carried out on meat shops in Kapasia on the charge of selling meat in violation of the Animal Slaughter and Meat Conservation Act 2011.
