Mayor Md Ikramul Haque Titu said these things after inspecting the ongoing Covid-19 vaccination program for children aged 5 to 11 years in various educational institutions of Mymensingh City Corporation at 09:30 am on Monday.
Mayor Titu visited the city's Premier Ideal School, Kumar Upendra Vidyapith, Kristapur Primary School and Bagmara Government Primary School.
In a function organized at Mymensingh Premier Ideal School during the visit, the Mayor said that the Covid-19 vaccination will play a role in creating a healthy and prosperous future for children.
MCC Mayor also said that Mymensingh City Corporation is doing its best to bring all eligible children under the scope of Covid-19 vaccination. Already in 2 days, about 12 thousand children aged 5 to 11 years of the city have been brought under vaccination. Chief Executive Officer Md. Yusuf Ali, Ward No. 09 Councilor Shital Sarkar, Ward No 17 Councilor Md. Kamal Khan, Chief Health Officer Dr. HK Debnath, Public Relations Officer Sheikh Mahabul Hossain Rajeev, Food and Sanitation Officer Deepak Mazumder, local dignitaries and others were present during the visit.
