MCC holds discussion ahead of Durga Puja

On the occasion of Autumn Durga Puja 2022, an exchange meeting was held on Tuesday afternoon with the leaders of various organizations related to Puja celebrations in Mymensingh district and metropolis and the leaders of the organizing committee of Puja Mandap on the occasion of Autumn Durga Puja 2022 at Shaheed Shahabuddin Auditorium.

Chairman of the Puja Celebration Committee Mymensingh City Corporation Mayor Ikramul Haque Titu exchanged views with the leaders for the smooth celebration of the upcoming Durga Puja. At that time, he said, the purpose of the great liberation war was to make Bangladesh a happy-prosperous and non-communal state. This spirit has been implemented under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. People of all religions can perform religious rituals peacefully. The Mayor also said that Mymensingh City Corporation will stand by this year as usual in the fair and festive celebration of Autumn Durga Puja.

In the exchange meeting, Chief Executive Officer of MCC Yusuf Ali, Panel Mayor 01 Asif Ali Don, Panel Mayor 03 Samima Akhtar and other councilors, Acting Secretary Annapurna Debnath and other officials, Kotwali Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shah Kamal Akand, District Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Oikya Parishad  President Bikash Chandra Roy, President of District Puja Celebration Parishad Rakhal Chandra Sarkar, President of Metropolitan Hindu Buddhist Christian Oikya Parishad Prashant Das Chandan, Joint General Secretary of District Puja Udjakar Parishad Shankar Saha, General Secretary of District Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Oikya Parishad Dr Sujit Burman, journalists from print and electronic media and others were present.
