Md. Abdus Sattar, 81, father of Md. Shawkat Ali, Additional Chief Engineer, Roads and Highways Department, Mymensingh Zone, died at a Dhaka hospital at noon on Saturday.
Abdus Sattar's body was buried at the family graveyard at Boyra village in Sarishabari upazila of Jamalpur district after the first janaza at Aftab Nagar in Dhaka and the second janaza at Boyra Israel Ahmed High School ground on Sunday morning.
He is survived by his wife, two sons and three daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
