Mayor Titu inaugurates construction work of roads and drains

Mymensingh City Corporation Mayor Md Ikramul Haque Titu inaugurated 4 works of road and drain construction in Ward No. 27 of the city on Thursday. The total cost of these construction works under the scheme of about 20 crore rupees is about 7 crore Taka.

The inaugurated works include RCC road and drain from Akua Mangalbari Road to Habun Bepari Mor, Akua Moralpara Secretary's house to Mannan Netar Khala, and drain from Akua Islami Academy and College to Amjad Bepari's house and banker's house. In addition, the mayor also inaugurated some infrastructure development works under the project to improve the quality of life of marginalized communities.

During the inauguration, the Mayor said that with the grace of the Honorable Prime Minister, extensive development activities are underway in every ward of Mymensingh City Corporation. These developments are for the city dwellers. 

There may be temporary inconvenience during these ongoing development works. For the greater good, we have to accept this difficulty and behave patiently.

The mayor instructed the engineers and contractors to be strict in maintaining the quality of work. He said that strict measures will be taken against any irregularity-complaints in the construction of roads or drains built with public funds.

During the inauguration, Councilor Md. Shamsul Haque Liton, Councilor of Ward No. 25, 26, 27, Irene Akhter, Chief Engineer Md. Rafiqul Islam Mia, Public Relations Officer Sheikh Mahabul Hossain Rajeev, Executive Engineer Md. Zahurul Haque, Executive Engineer Bidyut Md. Zillur Rahman, Asst. Engineer Jeevan Krishna Sarkar, local dignitaries and others were present.
