Grant cheques have been distributed among trainees under the Living Standards Development Project for marginalized people in Kishoreganj district. The grant cheques were distributed among the blacksmiths, potters, barbers, shoe-bamboo-cane makers at the rate of Tk 18,000 each in the year 2019-20 organized by the Town Social Service office on Sunday morning.
Town Social Service Officer Md Siddiqur Rahman presided over the function while District Social Service Deputy Director Md Kamruzzaman Khan attended the programme as the chief guest. District Social Service Assistant Director Shohidullah was attended as special guest.
It is to be noted that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has arranged this grant cheque to bring back the marginalized people to the mainstream of development of the society by improving the quality of their profession.
