Former Gopalganj District BNP President, ex-MP, and senior member of the party’s convening committee MH Khan Manju conducted a mass campaign and leaflet distribution in Gopalganj to raise awareness and support for Tarique Rahman’s 31-point programme.

The campaign was held on Tuesday in the Hathatpara area of Durgapur under Gopalganj Sadar upazila, under the slogan “Vote for Sheaf of Paddy — Let’s Build the Nation Together.”

Earlier, Manju visited and distributed leaflets in Singha, Hatiara, Rauthar, Puihshur, and Ramdia Bazar — seven unions under Gopalganj-2 constituency — as well as several areas within the district town.

Speaking to reporters during the campaign, Manju said, “I have been doing BNP politics all my life. I am working to implement Tarique Rahman’s 31-point plan and am seeking votes for the Sheaf of Paddy symbol. Inshallah, I have always been, and will continue to be, beside the people of Gopalganj-2 until my last breath.”

Among those accompanying him were SM Suman, former joint general secretary of Gopalganj District BNP; SM Humayun Kabir, former office secretary; Ramendra Nath Sarkar, president of Gopalganj Central Kalibari Temple; Arifuzzaman Tutul, former chairman of Gobra Union Parishad; Sheikh Yahia, former district BNP member; Md. Liton Mia, former joint secretary of Jubo Dal; and Masud Sheikh, office secretary of the District Workers’ Federation.

Also present were Dayamay Maulik, former vice-president of Kashiani Upazila BNP; Jony Sheikh, former president of Durgapur Union BNP; Ekhlas Molla, former general secretary of Nijra Union BNP; Jahangir Alam Sheikh, former general secretary of Phukra Union BNP; and BNP leaders Anik Molla and Murshid Chowdhury, along with many other local party members and activists.

Manju’s campaign aims to mobilise grassroots support in Gopalganj for BNP’s central political agenda ahead of the upcoming national elections.
