Man sued for ‘violating’ student

A case has been filed in a Jashore court accusing private teacher Masudur Rahman for raping his student by showing the temptation of marriage. A young woman from Kodlapara village in Manirampur upazila filed the case on Thursday. 

Additional Chief Judiciary Magistrate Court Judge Maruf Ahmed has ordered an inquiry into the allegations and submitted a report to the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).

The accused are Masudur Rahman, son of Munsur Ali of Gangulia village in Manirampur upazila, Shahidul Islam, son of Kabil Mistry of Kodlapara village and Sirajul Islam 

Mohabbat, son of Dr Moyez Uddin. The plaintiff alleged that in 2016, She was studying in the ninth grade at Gangulia Girls School. 

Accused Masud used to teach privately to the students of class I to X at that time. The plaintiff also used to read privately to her. Masud used to give her various kinds of bad offers. Masud kept looking for opportunities as she did not agree.

On November 17 in 2016, Masood shook the door of the girl's house. When the door was opened, Masud went inside and promised to marry her. 

Even without getting married in this way, Masud continued to live with her for a long time as a husband and wife. At one stage, on August 10 and December 9, Masud also lived in Dhaka with her. A few days later, two other accused rented a microbus and brought the girl at Masud home.

After being brought home, Masud and his mother forcibly signed some unwritten stamps. The plaintiff has filed the case as Masud did not agree to marriage her.
