Railway police recovered the body parts of an unidentified man from near the railway tracks in Akhaura upazila on Monday morning.
Officer-In-Charge of Akhaura Railway Police Station Shyamal Kanti Das, said locals spotted the body parts at the south outer signal area of the railway junction and informed police.
Later, police recovered a head, left arm and pieces of the ankle from the spot. Police are trying to recover the other parts of the body, the OC added.
