A man was killed and another injured in a road accident involving a passenger bus and an auto-van at Munshirhat Bazar under Thakurgaon’s Bhulli police station on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Sajjad Hossain, 40, son of Md Abdul Gafur from Thanapara village under Boda upazila in Panchagarh. According to police, the collision occurred on the Panchagarh Highway when a speeding bus rammed into the auto-van, leaving Sajjad Hossain, a passenger of the van, dead on the spot. The injured auto-van driver, Md Abu Sayeed, 28, was rushed by locals to Boda Upazila Health Complex for treatment. Bhulli Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Saiful Islam Sarkar confirmed the incident, adding that legal proceedings would be carried out by the Boda Highway Police.
