An Alamshadhu (local transport) driver was killed in a road accident at Bandabil village on Chuadanga-Alamdanga road in Alamdanga upazila of Chuadanga district on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Toriqul Islam, 25, son of Jaher Ali Mondal of village Jogonnathpur in Alamdanga upazila of the district.
According to Alamgir Kabir, OC of Alamdanga Police station and family sources, the Toriqul was going to Chuadanga from Alamdanga while a truck coming from the opposite direction collided head-on with his Alamshada leaving him dead on the spot. Khairul Alam, sub-inspector of Alamdanga police station said, on information police recovered the body and later handed over the body to the relatives.
