Police arrested a man named Mohammad Nurul Afshar (52) with 430 grams of ice (crystal meth) drugs in a raid at Laldighi Junction of the city around 9pm on Tuesday.
Chattogram Metropolitan Detective (North) Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) Mohammad Salam Kabir said this at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.
Arrestee Md Nurul Afshar is the son of late Ahmed Kabir of Sher Ullah Bari in Ulubnia area of Dulahajra union under Chakaria police station in Cox's Bazar district.

The granular drug containing methamphetamine in a white airtight polybag was recovered from Md. Nurul Afshar.
During interrogation, he said that he was collecting from Azizur Rahman of Chandnaish police station and was staying at the spot for sale. A case has been filed against the arrested person at Kotwali police station.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DB-North) Arafatul Islam and Assistant Commissioner of Police (DB-South) Md Delwar Hossain were present at the press conference.
