Man held for molesting 6yr-old girl

Police arrested a grocer named Abul Kashem for allegedly trying to violate a 6-year-old child in Natore's Baraigram. He was arrested from Kumarkhali village of the upazila on Monday morning. The arrestee is the son of Hashem Ali of the same village.

Dilip Kumar Das, Officer-in-Charge of Baraigram police station, said the 6-year-old daughter of an expatriate from Kumarkhali village left for her aunt's house on the afternoon of July 5. 

On the way, grocer Abul Kashem called the child to his shop and tried to violate her. The locals later rescued the child at her screams. 

Ever since then, attempts have been made to cover up the incident. However, later the matter became widely known and the locals getting angry handed over Abul Kashem to the police. He has already been charged with attempted child violation. After his arrest, Kashem confessed to attempted violation. Legal action is being taken against him.
