Police recovered a body from a flat at Pagla area under Fatulla Model police station in the district on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Abdur Razzak,55, permanent resident in Shariatpur district who now lived at a flat at pagla area under Fatulla police station. He was a mason.
Deceased’s son Akash claimed himself as a staff of a shop in Dhaka and said that his father and he lived in the flat as mother died six month ago. He returned from his job and found his father's room locked from outside.
Later he informed the police and after reaching the police broken door recovered legs and hands tied with rope from his khat.
Officer in charge of Fatulla model police station Nure Azam Mia said that the investigation is ongoing and the reason of murder will be unearthed very soon.
