A man fell from a tree while cutting down the tree at BGB camp in Debhata of Satkhira. The deceased was identified as Samsur Gazi, 60, son of Karim Box of Gariadanga village under Parulia union of Debhata upazila.
His accomplice Abul Hossain Gazi said he went to cut trees at the BGB camp at Townsripur in Debhata upazila around on Saturday noon. After that, when he inadvertently fell from the tree to the ground, BGB members quickly rescued him and brought him to the Upazila Health Complex.
The doctor on duty there declared him dead. Debhata Police Station Officer-in-Charge Biplob Kumar Saha confirmed the matter.
