A 28-year-old man died from electrocution while he was felling branches of a tree in Chandpur's Faridganj Upazila on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Abdur Rahman, son of Abu Musa Patwary. "When Rahman went to cut branches of a tree of his grandfather's house he came in contact with live electric wire and sustained severe injuries this noon," said Pradeep Mandal, OC (Investigation) of Faridganj police station.
Later, he was rescued and taken to the upazila health complex where doctors declared him dead. On information, police recovered the body, added the officer.
