After arresting Major Sinha's accomplice Shipra Debnath, Ramu police took away various devices including laptop, hard disk and pen drive. On August 19, the court ordered police to hand over 29 devices, including laptop hard disks etc that are in the custody of Ramu Police Station to RAB following an application by the RAB's investigating officer.

Ramu police appealed to the court to keep these devices in the custody  of the police.

But Cox's Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Helal Uddin dismissed the police plea this afternoon. The order to take into RAB’s custody all the items including the devices seized by the police from Nilima Resort at Ramu Police Station was upheld.

RAB Assistant Superintendent of Police Biman Chandra confirmed the information.
