Main accused of Jubo League leader Taleb murder case arrested

RAB-12 Bogura camp members arrested Firoz alias Fokra, 25, the main accused of Jubo League leader Taleb’s murder, from Badalgachhi upazila of Naogaon on Monday. RAB-12 confirmed the information at Bogura camp around on Tuesday noon.

Squad Commander of RAB-12 Bogura ASP Mostafizur Rahman said Firoz was arrested from Badalgachhi Upazila in Naogaon on the basis of intelligence information. He confessed to the murder during preliminary interrogation.

According to the information given by Firoz during interrogation, a RAB team went to Karnapur area on the east side of Matidali-Banani  2nd bypass road in Bogura Sadar and recovered the weapon used in the murder from inside a forest.

RAB seized a knife, a foreign pistol, a magazine, 2 rounds of ammunition, 2 mobiles and 3 SIM cards from there.

On June 14, Jubo League leader Abu Taleb was slaughtered at broad daylight in Shabgram Akashtara area of Bogura Sadar. 

Beside Firoz, Chan and Bappa were also accused in the case. Chan and Bappa were earlier arrested by a team of DB police led by Emran Mahmud Tuhin in blood-stained clothes.
