The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-7) has arrested Feni district Jubo Dal President Zakir Hossain Jashim, one of the main accused in the case of Amirul Islam Parvez (32) brutally beating a policeman to death on October 28 during the BNP rally in the capital.
He was arrested after a raid was conducted in Mohammad Ali Bazar area of FeniSadar on Sunday midnight.
The arrested accused Zakir Hossain Jashim (50) is the son of deceased Waziullah of Dhalia Union of FeniSadar Police Station of Feni District.
According to RAB, Jashim's name is in the statement No. 88 of the case of the murder of policeman Amirul Islam Parvez. The accused admitted during the interrogation that he participated in the barbaric and brutal attack on the police in accordance with the central instructions to break the morale.
Policeman Md. Amirul Islam Parvez was killed in a clash cantered on BNP's mass meeting in Nayapaltan of the capital. In this incident, the next day on October 29, the police filed a case as the plaintiff at Paltan police station.
In the CDMS review, a total of 13 cases including damage to government property, illegal assembly, vandalism, attempted murder were found against the accused Feni District Jubo Dal President Zakir Hossain Jashim in different police stations of Feni and Khagrachari districts.
