Mahmud Hasan Khan Babu and Sharifuzzaman Sharif were elected president and general secretary of Chuadanga district BNP on Saturday.
Mirza Faridul Islam Shiplu, Safiqul Islam Pitu and Khalid Mahmud Milton were elected as organising secretary in the election.
Mahmud Hasan Khan Babu, the convener of the District BNP convening committee, was elected unopposed as president in the election. Sharifuzzaman Sharif, the member secretary of the District BNP convening committee, and Nilima Biswas Mili, a member of the District BNP convening committee, contested for the position of General Secretary. Sharifuzzaman Sharif defeated Nilima Biswas Mili.
Sofiqul Islam Pitu, president of District Swechhasebak Dal, Khalid Mahmud Miltan, a member of Damurhuda upazila BNP, Mominur Rahman, treasurer of District Jubo Dal and Mirja Foridul Islam Shiplu, a member of District BNP convening committee contested for the post of organising secretary. Mirza Faridul Islam Shiplu, Safiqul Islam Pitu and Khalid Mahmud Milton were elcted as organising secretary in the election. About 836 councillors have cast their votes in the election.
