Madrasa teacher arrested for torturing children

Police arrested a Madrasa teacher for brutally torturing two children from Sripur area in Ashulia of Savar, on the outskirts of the capital on Tuesday.

The arrestee was identified as Hafez Mohammad Ibrahim, a teacher of ‘Jabale Nur Koumi Madrasa of Ashulia’. Mohir Uddin, Sub-inspector of Ashulia police station confirming the news said, “A case has been filed with Ashulia police station in this regard”

Earlier, a video went viral on social media site Facebook, capturing the accused teacher brutally torturing two child student of the madrasa.

Montaz uddin, a member of Dhamshona union parishad, told The Bangladesh Post, “The accused teacher brutally tortured two child student on last Friday (Sep 11) tying up their hands and legs, which was recorded in CCTV”. 

After the news spread, locals went to the Madrasa and published the related CCTV footage on social site out of anger, which later went viral on Facebook, he added.

The Madrasa started operation renting 4th floor of a six-storied building around two years ago, at Madhupur area of Sripur in Savar's Ashulia.
