A madrasa student was killed after his motorcycle crashed into a tree at Debiganj upazila in Panchagarh district on Sunday.
The accident took place around 12:30 pm on the Debiganj-Sonahar road in Chairman Mor area.
Deceased Robiul Islam, 14, was son of Bablu Islam, a resident of Pathatpara area in the upazila. He was a student of class VII at a Dakhil madrasa.
Locals said a motorcycle hit a roadside tree while Robiul was riding it at high speed, leaving him critically injured.
He was later rescued and taken to Debiganj Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
