A day-long workshop has been organized by Mirsarai Municipality under the management of Municipal Association of Bangladesh (MAB) to build a disaster risk reduction management structure.
MAB Central Vice President and Cox's Bazar Municipality Mayor Md. Mujibur Rahman was present as the chief guest at the workshop on MCR-2030 signup with
representatives of 26 municipalities of Greater Chittagong region as part of the program adopted by the United Nations Disaster Risk Reduction Division.
On Sunday at the workshop, MAB's executive member, Chittagong region member secretary and Mirsarai municipal mayor Md. Gias Uddin presided over the workshop when chief assistant Saiful Islam presents the paper. Mayor of Chand
naish Municipality Md. Mahbubul Alam spoke as a special guest.
The workshop was attended by secretaries, executive engineers, assistant engineers, officials and employees of Mirsarai Municipality and various
representatives from 26 municipalities.
SM Abdur Rauf, Consultant of Sign Up-2030 Bangladesh conducted the training session of the workshop with the aim of
building disaster risk reduction management framework in all cities of the world by 2030 at the initiative of UN.
