Allegations are available that committee of Louhajang Upazila Chhatra League was not formed following organizational by-laws.

According to sources, the committee was formed on Tuesday last with 191 members instead of 71 including non-students, expatriates, businessmen and expelled (who were expelled from the party earlier) instead of money.Munshiganj district unit of Chhatra League approved the committee.

This news has spread dissatisfaction among leaders and workers of the Chhatra League, the Awami League and local member of parliament (MP) who demanded immediate dissolution of this controversial committee.

Two vice-presidents JubairSikder and RubelMollah are married, another SajalFarayezi is an expatriate.

A former leader of Chhatra League on condition of anonymity told the Bangladesh Post, “We had expected that the Upazila Chhatra League will present a non-controversial and a clean committee but we are disappointed to see a committee of 191 member whereas the district unit consisted of only 151 members. It is really ridiculous.”

President of the newly-formed committee Farhad Hossain Emontold the Bangladesh Post,“We had submitted a list 1000 Chhatra League members along with their bio-data on December 11, 2020, but the district committee approved a committee of 191”.

After forming the new committee one vice-president got married and another one went abroad with employment. Except these two persons all the members on the committee are students, the president said.
