The 167th birth anniversary of Lord Baden Powel, the founder of scout’s movement of was observed in Jhenaidah. Jointly organized by Bangladesh Scouts Jhenaidah district and upazila units, deputy commissioner (DC) in Jhenaidah SM Rafiqul Ioslam led a colorful rally. Started from Jhenaidah Old DC Court, the rally was ended at Jhenaidah Scouts Building.
Presided over by upazila scout’s president also upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) in Jhenaidah sadar upazila Razia Akter Chowdhury, DC SM Rafiqul Islam attended as the chief guest. District commissioner Mohammad Mahiuddin, general secretary Abu Bakar Siddique, assistant commissioner Munshi Mohammad Abu Jafar Mohamamd Ali, district Rover Commissioner Feroj Al Hasan, secretary Nahid Akter and representatives from 300 educational institutions, clubs were present.
Bangladesh Scouts Jhenaidah district unit president also DC SM Rafiqul Islam in his speech as the chief guest said the students should build their carriers on the light of a scout so that they can grow as good citizens for a Smart Bangladesh Movement as desired by the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
