Free masks have been distributed at various important points including hat-bazaar, bus stand in Lohagara of Narail under the initiative of environmental youth organization "Green Voice", in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Rakhee Banerjee inaugurated the mask distribution ceremony in front of Lohagara Upazila Parishad at around 10:30 am on Thursday. According to the source, the staff of Green Voice distributed leaflets and masks to prevent the spread of Covid-19. They also highlighted various information about Covid-19 to make the general public aware of the situation. Standing at various points on Thursday, Green Voice workers distributed more than five hundred masks. Executive Magistrate Rakhee Banerjee advised the public to wear masks and move out of the house.
Awami League leader Syed Shariful Islam Saru, Green Voice activists Mohammad Sharifuzzaman, Iqbal Hasan Shimul, Liton Reza, Sardar Reich Uddin Tipu, Rosie Mahbub, Rony, police officers and other social leaders were present during the distribution and campaign. The activities will continue for a week, officials stated.
