Locals in Rowmari upazila in Kurigram repaired half a kilometer road with voluntary work and own funds to get rid of the suffering there.
Since the road has not been renovated for a long time, about 10,000 people of South Tapurchar, Purarchar, Nalbari villages have suffered.
A small amount of rain water causes waterlogging of most of the roads. The movement of people in that area was stopped due to ditches and water on both sides of the road.
Even though there are various projects of rural road reform including the Karma Creation Program (Manga) project of Bandber Union Parishad of the upazila, no work has been done.
Former general secretary of Bangladesh Awami League and executive director of CSDK, Abu Hanif Master and president of Union Jubo League, Samchuddohar, completed the renovation of the road for the convenience of people's movement in the area.
Due to the renovation of the road, the movement of people in that area has been reduced to some extent.
