Lightning kills 2 farmers in Chudanga

Two farmers were killed by lightning strike at two villages of Damurhuda and Sadar upazila in Chuadanga on Saturday. 

The deceased were identified as Ahmmed Ali Mollik,70, son of Khader Mollik of Patachura village in Damurhuda upazila and Rubel Hossain, 30, son of Abdul Malek of Jhajhre village in Sadar upazila of the district. 

According to family sources, Ahmmed Ali Mollik was injured by lightning strike when he was returning home after working from his crop field. Locals sent him Damurhuda Health Complex where on-duty medical officer Dr. Helena Akhtar declared him dead.

Ali Hossain, Chairman of Begompur union parishad in Sadar Upazila said, Rubel was working at his crop field at Jhajhre village in the morning.  

He was returning home from the crop field as rain with thunderstorm started. When he reached near to the primary school of the village, he was killed due to a lightning strike.
