Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am on Saturday, reports BSS.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at isolated places over the country," said a met office bulletin issued.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
The maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 34.2 degree Celsius at Rajshahi in Rajshahi division while Saturday’s minimum temperature 24.4 degree Celsius was recorded jointly at Hatia in Chattogram division and Tetulia in Rangpur division.Maximum rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am on Saturday was recorded 61 millimeters (mm) jointly at Tetulia and Dimla in Rangpur division.
