Deputy Commissioner in Jhenaidah Manira Begum inaugurated a library with the books written by local litterateurs on Monday at the entrance of the DC office. The enriched library was titled as “Gyanapropbha”.
Jhenaidah district council executive officer Salim Reza, additional deputy commissioner (general) Rathindra Nath Roy, ADC (revenue) Razibul Islam Khan, litterateurs Gautam Basu and Sunman Shikder among others present. About one thousand books might be accommodated in the library, authorities stated.
DC Manaira begum during her inauguration ceremony said Jhenaidah is enriched with huge poets, litterateurs and journalists who have been contributing a lot in their respective sectors.
Their creations would be preserved for spreading among the future generation to encourage them.
