LGED Additional Chief Engineer pays tribute to Bangabandhu

Additional Chief Engineer (IWRM) of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) Mohammad Ali Akhter Hossain paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Gopalganj’s Tungipara on Sunday noon.

He laid a wreath at the altar of Bangabandhu’s grave and paid deep homage. In accordance with the health rules, the Supervising Engineer of LGED SM Abdus Salam, Supervising Engineer Mohammad Khaled Chowdhury, Supervising Engineer Mohammad Abdus Salam, Project Director Sheikh Mohammad Nurul Islam and other officials and employees of LGED were present at the time.

After reciting the Holy Fateha and Durood, he prayed for the forgiveness of the soul of Bangabandhu who was martyred along with his family on 15th August, 1975. He also prayed for Bangabandhu’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's better health and long life. 

Earlier in the morning, at the quarterly progress review meeting of the Small Water Resources Development Project (Phase II), organized by Gopalganj LGED at Bangabandhu Poverty Alleviation and Rural Development Academy’s conference room in Kotalipara, Mohammad Ali Akhtar Hossain spoke as the chief guest.
