Police raided Noakhali district town Maizdi and seized foreign liquor and phencidyl along with a CNG. The seized drugs include 20 bottles of foreign liquor and 95 bottles of Phensidyl. However, it was not possible to arrest anyone as the CNG driver fled at that time.
The drugs were seized during a search of the Maijdi Kiran Hotel on Wednesday night.
According to the police, Sudharam Model Police raided various places in the district town of Maijdi on the basis of secret information.
During the operation, a CNG was stopped at the corner of Kiran Hotel in the city and the driver left the CNG and fled. Later, they raided the CNG and seized 15 liters of foreign liquor and 95 bottles of Fencidil in 20 bottles.
District Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Crime) Deepak Jyoti Khisa confirmed the matter and said a case has been filed against the CNG driver of Bismillah Paribahan, who was arrested in connection with the drug seizure, under the Narcotics Control Act.
