A large 22-kg weighing Bagha Aire fish caught by fisherman Abdur Rahman from the river Padma near Bahirchar area of Doulatdia under Goalundu upazila of Rajbari district on Saturday morning has been sold at Taka 19,800.
When the fish was brought at the Doulatdia Ferrighat area, a large number of inquisitive people assembled there to have a look at it.
Fisherman Abdur Rahman informed, he has been fishing in the river for a long time but never catches such a large fish. He sold the fish to the fish trader Sohel Molla at Taka 900 per kilogramme totalling Taka 19,800.
Fish trader Sohel Molla informed, he would sell the fish to the customers at a limited profit, He further said, there are a large number of local customers to purchase such a large fish.
