Land grabbers in Jhenaidah now occupying home premises

Some unscrupulous land grabbers have been threatening multiple families in Jhenaidah to vacate their land adjacent to their house claiming the land for themselves. They have been also trying to take the possession of the land at Dhanharia area, adjacent to Jhenaidah government polytechnic institute. Finding no other alternative, the family members have filed complaints with six persons with Jhenaidah Sadar police station. The officer in charge of the police station said he will show zero tolerance to the land grabbers and grill them at any cost.

In the general diary filed by some Firoj Munshi alias Mohan Munshi of Dhanharia village said he has been availing his own land for decades together. Some Abdul Halim, son of Abu Jafar and Musa Malita alias Musakhora, a disabled son of Jilu Malita of village Udoypur, Mostafa alias Mosto, son of Alfa Mandal and Asghraful, son of Abdus Satter of neighboring Chuadanaga village and Mohammad Lipu, son of Nefaz and Sara Khatun of Dhanharia village have been threatening him (Mohan) saying a piece of land for 121 deciamls was owned by them. They have been entering in to his own land without any valid documents and made an encroachers of the land a few days back. When the family members of the land owner Mohan Munsi had protested, they had tried to beat up them.

They had informed the matter to the police and at last finding no other alternative to save themselves from the slap of the evil-doers, he had filed a GD with Jhenaidah police station.

Jhenaidah Sadar police station officer in charge (OC) Sheikh Mohammad Sohel Rana when contacted said he had received the complaint filed by Firoj Munshi and sent a sub inspector on the spot. The land grabber whoever they might be would be grilled at any cost if their involvement is proved anyway. Police will not spare for the miscreants as per the zero tolerance to the culprits, OC said.
