Bashir Ali (50), a day-laborer, was electrocuted while drying corn on the roof of his house in Madana village under Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga on Friday.
He was the son of Afsar Ali of Madna village.
Shamsul Haque, a UP member of that ward, said that Bashir Ali was drying corn on the roof of Ila Uddin's house in Madana village's North Para. He came in contact with an electric wire passing through the roof. The people of the house rescued him and took him to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital, where the doctor on duty in the emergency department, Sadia, declared him dead.
