In the memory of veteran freedom fighter, ex-Managing Director of Sri Kundeswari Ochadalaya Limited, ex-Lion District Governor Prafulla Ranjan Singh and his wife Kalyani Singh, ex-principal of Kundeswari Balika Mahavidyalaya a memorial meeting organized by Kundeswari Alumni Association at Chittagong Press Club on Monday.
Chittagong University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Shirin Akhtar and Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Benu Kumar Dey, Director General of Dhaka Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) Zafar Wazed, Editor of Dainik Azadi Newspaper MA Malek, Chairman of English Department of Premier University and former Vice Chancellor of Kazi Nazrul Islam University Dr Mohit Ul Alam and Chittagong Lions Foundation and Eastern Group Chairman Lion Md. Nashir Uddin (MJF) and others spoke.
Former Vice-Chancellor of Chittagong University and former Chairman of University Grants Commission Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan presided over the function while president of Bayanna Bangla Research Institute Manoara Begum Tamanna delivered the welcome speech.
At the beginning of the program, the commemorative book titled ‘Prafulla-Kalyani’ was unveiled and the documentary titled ‘Our Prafulla-Kalyani’ was screened. An interesting cultural program was held in the evening.
