Korean delegation meets DU VC

A four-member delegation led by Cary Joe Hyungue, country director of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman on Sunday.

The delegation members are Deputy Country Director of KOICA Ahreum Go, its Programme Head Minseo Ju and Senior Programme Officer Biswajit Sarkar.

During the meeting at the VC’s office, they discussed the possibilities of undertaking a pilot project to develop education and research as well as innovative skills at DU with the financial assistance from KOICA.

They stressed the need for making socio-economic development through innovation and entrepreneurship in Bangladesh.

Vice-Chairman of Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship Center (ICE) of DU Professor Dr Khondoker Bazlul Hoque, Executive Director of ICE Md Rashedur Rahman, Professor Dr Muhammad Shariat Ullah of the Department of Organisation Strategy and Leadership, Associate Professor Dr B M Mainul Hossain of the Institute of Information Technology, Lecturer Sayeda Akther of the Department of International Relations and Deputy Secretary of Economic Relations Division (ERD) ASM Mustafizur Rahman were present, among others, on the occasion.

The VC thanked the KOICA delegation for their willingness to provide support and cooperation in undertaking a pilot project at DU.
