Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested five members of a Kishore Gang, including its leader Akash, in a case filed over a murder in the capital's Pallabi area.

The five were arrested from Narsingdi and Gazipur districts during a drive on Friday night. The other four accused are:  Rabbi, Imran, Russel Kazi and Noyan.

RAB also recovered a knife, used in the murder, and a machete from a garden according to the information given by Rabbi and Akash.

RAB legal and media wing director commander Khandaker Al Moin said that they conducted the drive based on specific complaints and intelligence activities. In primary quizzing, the arrested confessed to their involvement in the murder,  he said at a press briefing held at Karwan Bazar officer in the capital on Saturday morning.

Earlier, Detective Branch (DB) of police, so far, arrested 10 people over the murder incident.

On March 25, Faysal, 25, and Rashed, 24, were critically injured after some miscreants hacked them indiscriminately at Pallabi's Bihari Camp.

They were, later, rescued and taken to Dhaka Medical College Hosital (DMCH) where Faysal was declared dead by the on-duty doctors.

Akash is the member of kishore gang 'Golakata Rabbi' in Mirpur. He is the leader of this gang, according to RAB.

Meanwhile, four cases, including robbery and drug, have already filed against Rabbi.
