Kings ready to set a milestone in socer arena

It will be a milestone in the history of the Bangladesh football when Bashundhara Kings will host their league matches at their own ground. 

It’s a history not only in the 50 years of Bangladesh independence but since the British period and Pakistan governing time to till now there is no club in Bangladesh who could host any official (government or AFC, FIFA affiliated) professional matches. But in Kolkata, India many of the clubs have their own grounds to play matches at home and away field since the British regime, though here in Bangladesh, despite some clubs have their own grounds but those are not at all up to the mark considering professional aspects. 

But Bashundhara Kings, at their very first doorway into the top flight of the Bangladesh football ‘the Professional Football League’ have been trying to accomplishing the criteria of a professional football club. 

In the very third edition of their appearance into the professional arena, they are almost successful to get done the norms are essential for a professional football club when they have already set up a sports complex including a football ground with some modern conveniences.

The ground is set up with containing the all facilities to organize any of domestic or international football matches which is going to launch from tomorrow. 

Bashundhara Kings’ President Imrul Hassan, when talking to the Bangladesh Post on Tuesday informed that at the inaugural match they will restrict the entrance of the all spectators and only invited guest will have the opportunity to watch the inaugural match of the ground. 

“Right now we have accommodation for 10,000 spectators and have provision to increase the chairs, if it will necessary, in future we will construct another stadium, bigger than this one with more capacity.” 

“At the inaugural day we will allow limited people, only our invited guests, not for all fans and then will be open for all with tickets system. Fans will be able to buy tickets through online,” Imrul replied to a query. 

Though the ground is international standard, the floodlights are yet to be enclosed, the Kings president said, “Flood lights will also be included by three months and we will be able to host all international and domestic matches from next season under floodlights. This time our AFC matches will be take place at Sylhet District Stadium.” 

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Police FC will be the first guest team to take the hospitality of Bashundhara Kings and would be the part of the history in country’s football when they will play the match of the ground of it’s inaugural on Thursday (Tomorrow).
