The Jamalpur Kindergarten Association has organised a human chain with various demands including financial incentives to save kindergarten school and college institutions and teaching staff amid the coronavirus crisis. The program was held at Bakultala intersection in the district town on Wednesday morning.

Jamalpur Kindergarten Association President Chanowar Hossain Sabuj, General Secretary M.A. Rafiq, Melandah Upazila President Riazul Islam, Madarganj Upazila President AH Jabbar, Islampur Upazila President Gurudas and others expressed their views during the program.

The speakers said that the teachers and staff of the kindergartens of the district get their salaries from the fees of the students of the institution. The institutions have been closed for four months. They are not able to receive any fee from the parents. Therefore, the institutions are not able to pay any teacher-employee.

The condition of rented schools is even worse. Speakers appealed to the government to provide financial assistance and easy loans to the teachers and staff who were left helpless due to the closure of schools due to corona.

Teachers of various educational institutions of the district also participated in the program.
