Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Tuesday rescued a school girl from Khilgaon area in the capital a month after she was abducted from Keshabpur area of Jashore district.
The arrestee was identified as Rakibul Hasan alias Raju, 25, son of Ayub Ali, hailed from Keshabpur area of Jashore district.
RAB-3 Commander (CO) Lt Col Arif Mohiuddin Ahmed said the victim’s father filed a case after she went missing on February 26.
In the case statement, they alleged that Rakib, Milon, Tanvir, and two to three others abducted his daughter on February 26 from Keshabpur area of Jashore district, he added.
Responding to the lawsuit, RAB traced Rakib’s location and rescued the girl from Khilgaon on Tuesday, said the RAB official.
Later, the rescued victim was handed over to his family, and legal action was taken against the arrested accused.
