Warsia Khusbu won gold medal in the standard group of the Asian School Chess Under-11.
Held in Tashkent, Warsia, in the ninth and 1oth round game, Candidate Master of the Bangladesh Navy earned the feat after drawing with her hosts Uzbek counterpart Xikmatkhonova Mokhinur.
Apart from Uzbekistan, total of 22 players from India, Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Sri Lanka took part in the competition.
Washira of Bangladesh won the gold, Abylaykyzy Bibisara of Kazakhstan won the silver and Tursunalieva Nurelina won the bronze medal. Meanwhile, Khushbu also won three international gold and one silver medals in the international chess tournament in 2018 1nd 2019 in Uzbekistan.
