Khurshid Alam is a legendary singer and he has rendered numerous songs for the Bangladeshi movies. This legendary maestro has also been bestowed with the honour of Ekushey Padak.
Along with the songs of the films, Khurshid Alam’s voice on a number of jingles for TVCs has become popular. But for a long thirty years his voice couldn’t be found on any of the jingles of TVCs. This time the break has finally come to an end. Thirty years later, the singer has rendered voice to an advertisement jingle created by Sharif Melamine. The jingle is written by Enamul Majid. Shakil Mahmud Dip has arranged the melody and music. This ad was created by Selim Ahmed, Creative Director of Sharif Media Department. The shooting has already ended. Hasnat Ripon, the singer of Shorbonam music band and Samantha, have worked as models in the TVC.
Regarding giving voice to jingle after a long time, Khurshid Alam told Bangladesh Post, “I used to give voice to Jingles and cinema songs regularly. Thirty years later, I once again gave a voice to a jingle. I like doing the work. While giving the voice, I became really nostalgic. Originally the owner of Sharif melamine is well known to me. He's crazy for songs. I sang the jingle at his request. I hope that everyone will come to like it. “
Khurshid Alam is currently busy with stage shows. Although he is not regular in cinema songs like before, he is a regular on stage shows.
About this, he said, “I want to sing songs for movies. People know me through those, that is why I have a special place for cinema songs in my heart. If I get the offer for cinema songs which fit my taste then I will definitely sing them.”
